The Barbary Coast Cloggers (San Francisco) were established in 1981. They have since appeared at countless venues to universal acclaim. In 2002 the Barbary Coast Cloggers were recognized by the San Francisco dance community by winning the Izzie Award for “Best Performance by an Ensemble” for their production of Appalachian Overdrive. They have performed with Ricky Skaggs and Brooks & Dunn, have made 14 appearances at the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, and have been featured on KQED-TV’s Spark Program and Inside City Limits. They have performed at every San Francisco Hoedown event since the first in 1997. Info: www.barbarycoast.org |

Desert Heat (Albuquerque, NM) is a new Country Western dance performance group from Albuquerque, New Mexico. We got together in January 2008 after being inspired by performances at last year's Sundance Stompede. Dancing is our passion and we want to share our enthusiasm with our audience and soon-to-be fans. We have performed at our PRIDE celebration and at our sponsoring bar, Sidewinders.
Choreographed by Dave Martin.
Our members are: Scott Amspoker, Kathi Bowler, Marc Coan, Trish Colombo, David Hardy, Kathy Lee, Dave Martin, Alan Martinez, Matthew Moody, Joe Slanga, Leanne Vincent |

The Golden Gate Clogging Company (San Francisco) was formed in 2005 when a dozen students of the Barbary Coast Cloggers acted on their desire to perform as a co-ed troupe. Since then, under the artistic direction of Ramon Torres, the GGCC has continued to grow and thrive, expanding its repertoire to a variety of dance styles from a cappella to blue grass, and country to pop. |

Troy Inman (Atlanta) and Lee Fox (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) return to the Sundance Stompede after their dazzling duo performances the past two years. They are well-loved dance instructors at the Stompede, who volunteer their time to come back year after year to share their love of dance. Their extensive individual biographies can be found with their instructor listings. |

The LA Wranglers (Los Angeles) are southern California's premier country- western line dance group. High energy and sexy, this dance troupe delivers a strong, sharp impact and dominant presence. Innovative line dance routines choreographed for the stage with a blend of classic country, Latin, and hip-hop styles make this group a must-see at every event. |

The Manhattan Prairie Dogs (New York). 2008 may be the year of the Rat in China, but it is definitely the year of
the Dog when the Manhattan Prairie Dogs hit the dance floor. This year’s
world tour includes not only New York and Philadelphia , but Maine, Florida,
Maryland and Virginia and now as close to the Orient as these puppies get -
San Francisco! So, throw on your best kimono, stick a chopstick in your
hair and grab your fan! If you can’t catch them at the Sundance Stompede,
take a plane, hop a train or hit the road to the Big Apple. There you can
find the Manhattan Prairie Dogs exposing their legs and working their skirts as the Official Performance Team of the Big Apple Ranch. |

|
The Rain City Rhythm Riders (Seattle) were formed in 2001. When their bar, the Timberline, closed in 2005, The Rhythm Riders and country-western dance found a new home at the Cuff Complex. Now 11 members strong, they are proud to make their fourth appearance at the Sundance Stompede. |

Trip The Light Fantastic (Oakland, CA) has won numerous awards, starting with a silver medal at the Chicago Gay Games 2006. They were the same-sex dance formation team champions at the 2007 California Dreaming and also the 2008 April Follies. They look forward to competing in Copenhagen for the 2009 Out Games. Their latest medley Jumpin’ is choreographed by Zoe Balfour and Jose Comoda. More info: www.tripthelightfantastic.org |

The Windy City Cowboys (Chicago) are excited to be performing at this year’s Sundance Stompede and International Association of Gay and Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs convention. Formed in 2008, the Windy City Cowboys proudly represent the Chicagoland GLBT Community by performing routines that combine visual elements derived from country/western dance, ballroom, color guard and theater. The Windy City Cowboys’ mission leads them to perform at various parades, rodeos and special events. When the members aren’t busy practicing or performing, they can be found shopping for martini shakers and watching youtube (we tried to think of a third thing, but really, we don’t do anything else). |
