The Sundance Stompede is pleased to present some great exhibition dancing. Dance troupes from all over the country will perform between 8:00 and 9:00 pm at the Friday and Saturday night dances. Don't miss one the biggest highlights of the Stompede weekend!

Barbary Coast Cloggers
San Francisco
Emerging out of a gay square dance group, the Barbary Coast Cloggers have been around for over 40 years and have been a part of the Sundance Stompede from the very beginning. Keeping the tradition of American step dancing alive in the Bay Area, the group has performed for the World's Fair (New Orleans and Vancouver), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, SF Ethnic Dance Festival, Fresh Meat, Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation, Brooks & Dunn, Faith No More, Ricky Skaggs, Nations of San Diego International Dance Festival, California Bluegrass Festival, Bay Area Tap Festival, Bluegrass Pride, and many more.
Boston ReneGAYdes
Boston
The Boston ReneGAYdes are the official performance team for Gays for Patsy. Our goal is to promote the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community through dance performance. We enjoy performing our routines at community events, fundraisers, and dance festivals. We’re excited to be performing our latest routine in San Francisco!
Citabria & Rafael
San Francisco
Long time same-gender dancing competitors in the USA and abroad, Citabria Phillips and Rafael Dominguez are teaming up in all their fabulosity to shine at the November Gay Games Guadalajara, Mexico 2023 in the "Mix Couples American Smooth" Category, and making their debut performance at 2023 Stompede. And yes – we lead and follow!
Firebrand
Chicago
Firebrand is the performance troupe of the Second City Country Dance Association (SCCDA). Formed in 2019, its membership includes many dancers who performed in earlier LGBTQIA+ country/western dance troupes in Chicago going as far back as 2007. This inclusive, not-for-profit, LGBTQIA+ group can be seen performing at Charlie’s Chicago, Hoedown In The Dunes, the annual Chicago Pride Parade, and various street fairs and events. Firebrand is the visual expression of SCCDA’s mission: to support and encourage the growth of country/western dancing in the Chicagoland area. LA Wranglers
Los Angeles
The LA Wranglers are a country-western performance group based in Los Angeles with a passion for all things country. Founded in 2002 as a dance troupe, the LA Wranglers now operate as part of the Wranglers Los Angeles Dance Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to promoting country-western, swing, line, and ballroom dance through instruction, performance, community, and inclusion without discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. They host the annual Wrangler Weekend Los Angeles (next in August 2024 in conjunction with the IAGLCWDC annual meeting). More info: Instagram, Facebook, and website.

Mavericks
Houston
The Mavericks dance team is the performance country and line dance team of the Mavericks Dance Foundation in Houston, Texas, and has performed at local and national events. Team members are primarily LGBTQ+ with membership open to all. The Mavericks dance team was founded in 2014 by Fernando Garcia, has 12 members, and is led by directors Fernando Garcia and Mark Evans.
Peaches & Queens
Atlanta
Peaches & Queens recently formed in 2023 as a rekindling of the dance exhibition spirit in Atlanta, Georgia that had previously flourished in organizations such as Southern Country Atlanta and Southern Line Atlanta, including an exhibition team that won several team competitions. Their vision is to promote country-western dancing, activities, and music to all persons. Even with the hiatus of exhibition teams from Atlanta, the connections remained constant within the Atlanta GLBTQIA+ community. Reunited with members based in Atlanta and a few other cities, a new friendship of dance is reborn as Peaches & Queens.
Photon
San Francisco
“Photon” is a dance partnership formed in 2005 by Photis Pishiaras and Ron Jenkins after meeting on the dance floor at Sundance Saloon. They have performed or competed regularly at events all around the US and Internationally. They directed and produced this year's farewell April Follies Grand Show “Platforms 20 to 30.” They are the 2012 US and California and the 2013 US and North America Men's Ballroom Standard champions, 2015 Montreal Rainbow Dance Challenge Ballroom Standard champions, and 2016 US and 2017 North America Champions. They won a gold medal at the 2013 World OutGames in Antwerp and were gold medalists at the 10th Gay Games world championships in Paris in 2018.
Rhythm Riders
Seattle
The Rhythm Riders from Seattle are Rain Country Dance Association's performing group. On hiatus since 2013 and performing at Stompede for the first time since 2010, the team is back with lots of new faces, new energy, and new ideas, having performed this year at the 2023 Emerald City Hoedown and Seattle Pride.
Vima Vice Squad
San Francisco
Vima Vice Squad is an all-male group formed in 2008 in San Francisco, that has members from a variety of dance backgrounds performing ballroom and country western routines. They have frequently performed at numerous shows and fundraisers through the SF Bay area and beyond. Vima Vice Squad are the 2012-2014 US and 2013 North America Formation Team Champions. They won the world championship with a gold medal at the 2014 Gay Games 9 in Cleveland, Ohio. They are the 2016 US, 2017 California, 2018 US and North America champions, and won a silver medal at the 2018 Gay Games in Paris, France.
