STOMPEDE NEWS

Advance registration for the Sundance Stompede ended on September 30. You can still purchase a full weekend registration on-site at the Stompede. You can also purchase individual ticket admissions to each night-time dance separately at the door, as well as day passes for the workshops.

Ty Herndon

Individual events tickets for the Saturday night Hoedown are now available on-line until Friday, October 20. Advance tickets are $50 and will also be available at retail locations beginning September 1: Sundance Saloon (550 Barneveld Avenue, San Francisco) and Rock Hard (518 Castro Street, San Francisco.

We can't do this without you!

The Sundance Stompede requires an army of volunteers, and we'd love to have your help! Vounteering is FUN and gives you the satisfaction of helping to create this magical weekend.

We still have a few CRITICAL SHIFTS to fill on Saturday night, plus many other shifts throughout the weekend.

Check out our volunteer sign-up information, and sign up for a shift today!

Scott Schrank and Rick Dominguez have choreographed a line dance to one of the songs Ty Herndon will be singing Saturday night. We will be teaching this dance on Friday afternoon (2:15 pm) with a review during the lunch break on Saturday (12:30 pm). We're adding a special twist which will be revealed at the lesson.

Although the line dance is billed as "intermediate," some may find it challenging. It is a 32-count phrased dance with a restart, tag and an ending.

(11-8-17) The Matching Donation Campaign is closed to new donations.

Make a tax-deductible donation to the Stompede, and your contribution will be DOUBLED, up to a total of $6000 in contributions.

The Sundance Stompede is, at its heart, a benefit event for local San Francisco charitable organizations. 100% of your donation in this campaign will directly benefit the Center for Immigrant Protection, PRC/AIDS Emergency Fund, and the Sundance Association for Country-Western Dancing. We are living in desperate times, and your support is more vital than ever.

Please visit our dedicated webpage for contributions to the Matching Donation Campaign.

New this year! We will have stickers folks can attach to their registration badges to indicate the pronoun(s) they use. These are entirely optional, available to those who would like to wear them, but important for everyone to be aware of. Here's more info specifically about the pronoun stickers, and here's some background info about using correct pronouns.

PARKING AT THE HOLIDAY INN. Parking around the hotel can be extremely difficult weekdays and on Saturday. Please remember that during these times street parking is limited to one or two hours - you cannot simply continue to feed the meter beyond this limit without risking a ticket. Hotel guests park for $30 a day, and receive in-and-out privileges. Others may park at the hotel for $15 up to 5 hours, with no in-and-out. Validate your parking ticket at the Stompede registration desk.

SHUTTLE BUS INFORMATION. We are pleased to offer bus service for Stompede registrants between the Holiday Inn and Sundance Saloon on Thursday and Sunday nights, with service approximately every half hour, subject to the whims of San Francisco traffic. Note also that California law requires that we give our drivers a break. We have attempted to time these breaks to minimize any inconvenience. Please see the full bus schedule to avoid surprises.

PUBLIC TRANSIT. The Holiday Inn and Regency Center are served by MUNI bus north-south lines 19, 47 and 49; and east-west lines 1, 2, and 3 (with the 38 not too far away). These lines all pass near BART stations. And the hotel is located at the terminus of the California Street cable car line.

Win an oceanview cabin on RSVP’s Caribbean cruise, sailing February 11-18, 2018, sailing from Ft. Lauderdale and visiting St. Thomas, Amber Cove, and Half Moon Cay, with all of RSVP's renowned activities and entertainment, including country-western dancing provided by Sundance Saloon! Check out this fun video of our beginner dance lessons and dancing from our recent Alaska cruise with RSVP.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, or five for $20, available at Sundance Saloon or by mail. Drawing to be held October 21, 2017 at the Sundance Stompede. Winner need not be present to win. Proceeds benefit the beneficiaries of the Sundance Stompede. More info ...
